New reader,
I was watching Sunday Night Football and starting to organize my wants for Black Friday sales when I realized that Substack may be a perfect new hobby for me. I’ve been trying to make sense of my love for scouring the web, and to now give it some purpose, this will be my creative outlet that I hope will bring you joy and spark creativity. From finding new small businesses or sharing inspiration to tracking down that dress I saw on an influencer three years ago for upcoming situational dressing, welcome to my Substack—catchy name forthcoming.
I must admit this is partly inspired by a comment from a new friend, asking if I have a blog after I shared some work clothes recommendations. And by my mom who recently told me I’d make a great writer in my next life (still working through what she thinks I do in this life, but lol!) I’ve never been interested in the visual requirements of Instagram or TikTok, but I love to write so consider the seed germinating! Here we go! (TBD if I address my overuse of exclamation points)
Admittedly, this was a rash creation, please bear with me as I settle into a groove. As I’ve written this introduction, round-ups of work clothes to RealReal finds to gift guides to winter wedding outfits have all popped into my head as future topics. I’m shooting for weekly, and as a disclaimer, I won’t be using any affiliate links. It’s just a space for me and you!
Send ideas my way, and once I get my feet under me, share with anyone you think might enjoy!
No hard feelings if this isn’t your thing and you want to unsubscribe.
Recent Finds (not limited to anything)
If you’ve spoken to me this week, you’ve likely heard about these flats. Julia Amory introduced me, and when the Denim became available for pre-order, I pulled the trigger. The construction is top-notch, the Como style is so flattering, and I had no knee soreness after wearing them multiple days on the unforgiving marble floor of the House. I’m a true 7 and the 37 is TTS.
Locker App—for shopping saves and inspiration
I need this app to catch on because I’m hooked! Locker is the easiest way to save your internet finds for later—finally putting an end to the need for 30 tabs (a habit I will be slow to kick) and cutting down on impulse shopping. You can either use the iPhone app or browser extension to save your finds to a board (how-to video here!) and even make collages for inspiration. I also made a board of surprises and shared it with Ben. Work smarter, not harder!
RealReal Find of the Day—my favorite work dress!
I have this Maje dress in three variations and love it. Clearly. With the look of a top and a skirt, but none of the hassle of tucking, this versatile look has been a no-brainer many mornings and garnered compliments on nights out too.
That’s all for now! See you next week!
Sunday night football takes on a whole new meaning. Thank you !!! - from everyone
